Would like to know where in Bangalore would offer me a choice of the best and the most reasonable prices on LCD TV or perhaps even LED TC. I am looking for either a 42" or a 50" TV from brands such as Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba. I have a month long window in November to finish the transaction.
I am going to be in India soon and I would like to know from INDIANS per-se as to where in the City of Bangalore would be the ideal place to buy a Sony/Panasonic LCD/LED TV. I have a window of 4 days to finish the transaction. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

i am thinking about buying a new tv for our living room, right now we have 32" lcd samsung tv. I am planning to move that to bed room and get a bigger one in living room may be 50+ inches. Any recommendations on what type and size screen should i prefer like LCD, plasma, dlp, lcd led or whatever the new trends are?

Wow…i’m wondering if ‘Gabriel’ has ever seen a Plasma TV in real life! Must be another LCD ‘fanboy’ that refuses to do research because they’re afraid to admit that a Plasma actually outperforms a LCD!

The newest plasma’s are some of the best performing ever made! They have the highest native contrast ratios(40,000:1), giving them the blackest blacks and more vivid and rich looking colors! They also have near instant response times(.001ms) and the fastest refresh rates(600hz), making them perfect for watching fast motion content like sports, movies & gaming! I highly recommend one for your living room!

As for the Plasma myths; they do not burn-in anymore, this problem has been eliminated with new technologies! And they do not use a ton more energy then similar sized LCD’s! They also last just as long as other HDTV’s! See the link below for more info and facts.

LED LCD’s come close to Plasma’s in picture quality but still suffer from LCD’s inherent flaw…response time! Their response times are still only 2ms at best! Not to mention how expensive LED LCD’s are!! Granted…sooner or later all TV’s will become LED TV’s simply because the technology is more energy efficient and that’s the road the world is taking. But for now, Plasma TV’s are an affordable and realistic investment no matter what LCD ‘fanboys’ want to think!

For brands of Plasma, stick to these three and nothing else; Pioneer, Panasonic or Samsung!

Plasma vs LCD vs LED?

Posted by admin in lg led tv

I’ve been saving up for a HDTV for my dorm and now that I’m ready to purchase one, I cant decide which technology to go with. I’m looking for anything between 40" and 50" and it has to run 1080p since, other than wtaching tv/blu-ray, I’ll be using it for gaming on my ps3/xbox 360. I managed to find a 46′ plasma from panasonic online for $800 from circuit city. I also managed to find a 42" LCD from LG at a nearby store for $800. Recently I heard about LED technology and found a 40" LED tv from sharp for $1000 on dell.com. Now I know that plasma’s have been known to have deeper, darker blacks but I’ve heard that lcds have brighter, richer colors but suffer from motion blur. I haven’t done much research on LED tvs but I hear that they’re a mix between the two and are even better than plasmas. Which one should I choose?

In terms of overall picture quality…Plasma! And Panasonic makes the best!

LED LCD TVs and Plasma’s have similar contrast ratios. But that’s all that is similar! Plasma TVs have faster response times(.001ms) compared to LED(2ms). 2,000 times faster actually! And Plasma’s also have faster refresh rates then LED too(Plasma 600hz–LED 240hz)! This makes Plasma’s better at producing sharper motion with fast motion content like sports, movies and gaming! Plasma is the best…the numbers prove it!!!

Plasma TVs are also more affordable then LCD TVs…especially LED LCD TVs! However…LED LCD TVs use 40% less energy then Standard LCD and Plasma TVs. But the higher initial cost of the LED TV counter acts the saving you’d get from the lower energy use!

I highly recommend you go with a Panasonic Plasma for what you want out of the TV! Hope this helps!

What TV(samsung,sony,lg)?

Posted by admin in lg led tv

I got like 700 – 800$ to spend so what should i get sony, samsung, or lg? plasma or lcd or i think there is this new thing called lcd led?

Samsung is your highest rated brand, and in my professional opinion, is the best presently. Sony is a close second though, so you can’t go wrong there either. LG is decent, but is kind of in a mid-high range that shares it’s abilities with Sharp, Toshiba, and Panasonic.

I would go for a Samsung LN40B530 model. It’s a 40" Samsung with a great picture and 1080p capabilities. The only thing it lacks is a 120hz processor which you probably won’t find in that price range anyway unless you are getting a smaller set.

That television is a regular price of 899.99 but you can find it on sale for 799.99 sometimes, and maybe cheaper if you can do a cardholder deal or rebate or something. Best Buy and Sears are both running it at 799.99 right now actually. Check it out sometime in store if possible.

As for the LED sets, with your price range, they’re not something to consider. Samsung is the LED maker right now and they don’t manufacture models smaller than 40" which run around 2,000 dollars. For the time being, unless you have a lot of money to blow, then LED really isn’t an option.

Anyway, hope this helped, I’m open to emails about television questions any time.

I see samsung, Sharp, LG as the 3 top brands and I was going
for Samsung but Samsung only has 1 component input and I need
2 for 2 different consoles, and LG and Sharp have 2 component inputs.
What looks better the Sharp LED tv’s or LG’s , I like LG’s LH90 or SL90
models but I wanna know everyone’s take. Also I love plasma but don’t
want it because im a hardcore gamer.

Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs. You will notice that Panasonic has a tv recommended in each price category of entry level to the high end. While Sony, Samsung and Toshiba does not (December issue). Other brands like LG, Sharp, Sanyo and Vizio did not even get mentioned. If you read the questions on yahoo you will notice that 95% of tv problems are from LCD tvs and 95% of those are from off brands. You will also notice that power board on Sony and Samsung are breaking down after a couple of years, and there customer service support center are not very helpful. If you have your heart on an LED tv, then Sony would be the top choice but it is more money. Hope this will help you out.
