The tv stopped working after the surge protector was switched off accidentally. 3 blinking yellows is not shown in the manual, nor does Toshiba customer service have any recommendation for. I read elsewhere to unplug it for a few hours, but I left it unplugged for 2 full days and it’s still a no go.

Any ideas?

Possible lamp failure?!

How many times does the 3 yellow blinks come in? Set of 8? Because that’s a code for lamp failure.

If this is the case, you’ll need to replace the lamp. If it’s not the case, then i’m afraid that a technician is needed to further diagnose the problem! Good luck!

I know they are not actually LED TVs, that they are in fact LCD’s with LED edge lighting, I have heard several bad reviews about the TV complaining about backlight bleeding and clouding, but not any comments on how well it performs with games or input lag? for games like guitar hero, and just generally whether its worth the buy. I have only seen reviews on the 40" and above models, but not for the 32" models, so can anyone enlighten me on all the issues above?

Bleeding and clouding, that’s all they complain about.
They THINK that all new technology must be Magically PERFECT, yet they forget about the LIMITATIONS of the older technology…and the newer stuff.

Get yourself a Panasonic PLASMA, and just avoid hanging your weapons out for all to see.

Or get a SONY Triluminos if you have got to have LED backlighting.

ALL hdmi and hdmi slot are just the same.
(just watch out for mini-HDMI)

Is samsung led tv better than Sony Bravia? Why? What should I buy? Sony or Samsung?

Sony does make, but they markening crazy like samsung do, sony led tv cost a lot more than samsung but still the picture is not as good. Wait a while cause other tv company is also making led (Sharp, Toshinba and Vizio) all those will only push led tv price to go down.

I am looking for Professional Calibration settings for my LG 47LH90 LED TV. I have heard of forums where users post their settings, any references to those would be welcome too.

Wait a minute….that TV is NOT seven years old or older!!

Believe it or not, but TV sets don’t need calibration UNTIL it gets some age to it.

Do you think the manufacturers build and align your TV to LESS than PERFECT standards?

That’s like buying a car and having the manufacturer NOT TUNE the engine and transmission. Nobody would buy a car if it wasn’t properly tuned, and the wheel alignment was off.

They wouldn’t do that, and TV manufacturers won’t do that either.

The Calibration is something the salesmen want to sell you NOW…not seven years from NOW.

You should find an ISF Calibration Tech about 7 years after you’ve had the PLASMA.

Notice I said PLASMA….not LCD or DLP TV sets.

Plasma phosphor ages…changes…gets darker and shifts it color as it ages.

LCDS and DLPS have Shutters/Mirrors….they don’t AGE, they don’t get darker…They may get a STUCK PIXEL, but that’s all they’ll get over time.

That’s another falsehood promulgated by the salesmen out there.
Even the calibration Techs attempt to persuade you about TV sets "not being perfect" out of the box.
Hey, that’s how they BOTH make their money….

So don’t believe them.

Picture look good? Of course it does, your eyes should be the JUDGE, not some salesmen or Calibrator.

Trust me on this, I only make money when your TV actually BREAKS and needs serviced.

But just to let you know, I have calibrated TV sets for the last 25 years….they called it "white balancing" the TV set back in those days.
